Zazen Meditation Instruction
Onsite Zazen (Meditation) Instruction is offered by senior practitioners on Sundays before the Dharma talk. Please meet at 8:15 am on the North side of the Meditation hall outside. Sunday Morning Meditation
On Sundays at 9:25 am, a period of silent meditation in the zendo is followed immediately by a Dharma talk (see Sunday Program). All are welcome to attend.
Saturday Half-Day Introductory Sittings
This sitting is for new students and those who wish to participate in a gentler schedule. Read more/see dates.
One Day Sittings
One-day sittings at Green Gulch offer traditional Soto Zen all-day meditation practice. Formal oryoki meals are served in the zendo. Please be in the zendo by 4:50 am. Participants are welcome to stay for an informal dinner at 6 pm. It is recommended to have received or followed a recording of meditation instruction and participated in a Half-Day Introductory Sitting.
Guest Student Stay
Guest Students reside in student housing and participate in the full meditation work schedule and attend classes, lectures, and ceremonies. This program offers short-term residency to those interested in beginning or deepening Zen practice with the support of a community. Read more.
Volunteer Program
We invite you to work with us by becoming a volunteer at Green Gulch Farm. Volunteering is an opportunity to experience working wholeheartedly in a practice setting while giving your time and energy to the sangha. Please read more here.
