Crystal A. Johnson, PhD, is part of the teaching team offering the six-month White and Awakening in Sangha program at the East Bay Meditation Center and has taught/co-taught classes on whiteness from a dharma perspective at a number of other Buddhist sanghas. She is a retired clinical psychologist whose work focused on training graduate student clinicians to conceptualize and practice clinical work as a social justice practice. She is a graduate of the Commit2Dharma program at the East Bay Meditation Center (EBMC), and of the Dedicated Practitioners Program (DPP4) and Community Dharma Leaders Program (CDL5) offered by Spirit Rock. She is currently part of the Leadership Sangha at EBMC.
