Several of the Redwood Cabins feature tatami mats, a traditional Japanese flooring made of thickly woven rush grass. These cabins have folding foam beds (shikibutons), which go directly on the tatami floor. The Redwood Tatami Cabins can accommodate up to two guests, with one exception. They have private bathrooms and their own special feature(s):
Cabin 20: Historic, Suzuki Roshi’s cabin
Cabin 19: Close to pool, kids allowed, creek view but no direct access
Cabin 9: Near lower garden and Kaisando (Founder’s Hall), quiet, sitting area outside
Cabin 5: Center campus, can fit three people, beautiful shoji screens, and large front porch
