Sunday, October 12, 10 am–12 pm PT
Every relationship includes conflict and change. However, many relationships hold conflict and change in spaces formed by habits and preconceptions, misplaced anger and fears. When held in such a way, conflicts blaze, destroy, or freeze, creating barriers to the living cultivation of intimacy.
On this practice day, we will study how Zen training helps us hold any barrier as a gateway to increased intimacy. How does our practice help us negotiate a way of being together founded on loving-kindness? How do loving-kindness practices help us build containers that adapt to change, transforming our times of conflict to times of curiosity, intimacy, and growth?
Please note we will host a separate onsite offering of the workshop on Saturday, October 11 that includes a morning hybrid dharma talk and afternoon workshop. Participants are welcome to register for either the onsite workshop, the online workshop, or both. The dharma talk may be attended online, free of charge. Information is included with registration.
To register for the onsite workshop at City Center on Saturday, October 11, click here (requires separate registration).
To meet the needs of all participants, the online workshop will include a brief oral and visual review of content, plus exercises that review and build on themes from the previous day.
