Rohatsu is a Buddhist holiday celebrated on or around December 8. It commemorates the day the Buddha attained enlightenment under a Bodhi tree, or, said another way, it commemorates the day he had his spiritual awakening. Having had a spiritual awakening, he committed to bring the message to those who were still suffering and to practice the Dharma in all his affairs.
Please join us as we gather on December 7 at Green Gulch Farm to reflect on our own experiences of the 12th Step. The day will include gentle sitting, mindful walking, two Dharma talks, a walk around the beautiful gardens, and time to just simply be. This day is appropriate for all levels of meditation experience.
