Rohatsu is a Buddhist holiday celebrated on or around December 8. It commemorates the day the Buddha attained enlightenment under a Bodhi tree, or said another way, it commemorates the day he had his spiritual awakening. Having had a spiritual awakening, he committed to bring the message to those who still suffered and practice the dharma in all his affairs.
Please join us as we gather on December 7 at Green Gulch to reflect on our own experiences of the 12th Step. The day will include gentle sitting, mindful walking, two dharma talks, a walk around the beautiful gardens and time just to simply be. This day is appropriate for all levels of meditation experience.
