This special Tuesday evening Dharma talk will be offered by Shunryu Suzuki Roshi's son and Dharma successor, Hoitsu Suzuki Roshi. Hoitsu Suzuki has served Eiheiji—one of the two main Soto Zen temples and training monasteries in Japan—as tanto (2005), tanto's superior godo (since 2009), and advisor (since 2013). He is the Abbot of Suzuki Roshi's home temple Rinsoin, and has been generously helping San Francisco Zen Center for 50 years. We are deeply grateful that he is willing to share his teaching with us at this time, "leaping off the hundred foot pole," in his first ever Zoom Dharma Talk. Tenshin Reb Anderson will host and introduce Hoitsu Suzuki Roshi; Yuki Kobiyama will translate.
NOTE: Preceding the Dharma talk, from 7:15 - 7:30, there is a 15-minute period of gathering and settling to allow everyone to sign in on time and be prepared for the talk to begin.
