Description

In the Conference Center at 308 Page Street

In this workshop, we will consider the foundational teaching of beginner's mind. The workshop will be led by Dr. Gaylon Ferguson, author of Welcoming Beginner's Mind: Zen and Tibetan Buddhist Wisdom on Experiencing Our True Nature, the study text for the Fall Practice Period at City Center.

Dr. Ferguson will lead us in an exploration of some of the central questions of our practice: What does it mean to practice with "no gaining idea”? How is it that practice itself is realization? What is the realization of Buddha?

This stand-alone workshop is open to all, and may be of particular interest to those who are participating in the Fall Practice Period at City Center. Practice period participants must register separately for this workshop in order to attend.
