This is the report as of 9 AM this morning. The screen grabs were made at 3:30 PM:
There are NO new detections up Tassajara creek.
There are NO new detections to the W of Tassajara.
There are 6 new detections to the SSW of Tassajara all in the Willow Creek watershed. (Read this report on Sitting with Fire for more details on this aspect of the fire.)
There are NO new detections on the Tassajara side of the Tony trail ridge or in the Oriyoki watershed.
There are NO new detections to the E in the Indian's fire, and fewer and fewer older detections remaining each day.
There are more than a dozen detections to the SSE between 6.6 and 8.4 miles from Tassajara and about another dozen 9.4 to 10.3 miles away to the SW along the coast. The southern end of the fire seems to be splitting up down and along the coast and inland to the E with a large presumably burned gap between them.
There are many dozens of new detections to the far NW (looks like they've started backburning). These are all at a distance of 10.0 to 19.5 miles away. The closest of these to Jamesburg is 7.1 miles away.
This map will be updated approximately once a day.
The U.S. Forest Service updates this data hourly. There are instructions on the Tassajara web site for how to see this information via Google Earth.
