December 1Saturday, 9 am - 1 pm led by Steve Weintraub (CE credits available - see below*) Zen master Dogen says that essential to our Zen understanding is “taking the backward step, and turning the light inward.” In this zazen-focused morning, practicing as a community of psychotherapists with like minded people who face similar issues and challenges, we will work on ways of bringing our Zen practice to bear on our life’s work. This is a way to strengthen our root sense of purpose and refresh our practice. The morning will include 25-minute sitting meditation periods alternating with periods of walking meditation, and talks and discussion focusing on how our practice does and can inform our clinical work. This event is appropriate for those therapists who have had or would like to have experience with more extended sitting practice than is offered in a workshop setting. We’ll end our morning together by sharing a vegetarian lunch, provided by Green Gulch Farm. |
