The Sanskrit expression drishta dharma sukha teaches us that it is indeed possible to live happily in the present moment. This one-day retreat will examine the ways that Buddhists in recovery can bring together the teachings of Buddhism and the pillars of recovery to move beyond survival and the reduction of suffering. We will work together to increase our openness to the genuine possibility of living in happiness.
The day will include sitting and walking meditation as well as two talks, and will close with a recovery meeting and social time. This day is designed for people at all levels of recovery and Buddhist practice.
Please bring a bag lunch.
