While we all appreciate the happiness and freedom we feel when we are genuinely at ease in our bodies, hearts and minds, it can take great courage and resilience at times to fully embrace and express our authentic self, especially as members of LGBTIQ communities. During this day of dharma practice we will explore how to recognize, acknowledge and express our true nature and address the often daily challenges to returning home to our natural state of joy, wisdom and compassion.
Open to all levels of meditation—new, beginner or experienced—this retreat will include sitting and walking meditation, dharma presentation, and group study and discussion. These Zen and mindfulness practices offer a unique opportunity for queer- and same-gender-loving-identified folks to be together in spiritual community.
Please bring a bag lunch. Tea and coffee will be provided.
