The daily schedule includes meditation in the morning and evening. There are lectures and classes on Buddhism, and opportunities for individual interviews with practice leaders. Our work focuses on taking care of our many summer guests as well as on general upkeep and maintenance of the monastery. Typical schedule: 5:50 - zazen and chanting service For those who commit to staying five months or longer, credit for two practice periods at Green Gulch, City Center or Tassajara can be applied for. While at Tassajara, participants are asked not to begin new sexual relationships and to remain drug- and alcohol-free. Couples who apply should be in a stable relationship.
