The Three Marks of Existence on the Path of Recovery, 5/20 – 5/24
with Ryotan Cynthia Kear and Koshin Steven Tierney
May 20 – 24
A retreat for people in recovery.
In an unpredictable world full of suffering and joy, we realize that each of us experiences 3 marks of existence: impermanence, suffering, and no-self.
People in recovery experience these marks on a journey requiring reflection, change, skillful interaction with each other and compassion.
Suzuki Roshi taught “Just to be alive is enough.” In this retreat we will explore how the tools of lovingkindness (Metta) and the 12 Steps of Recovery, can enhance our opportunities to experience the joy of being alive and increase our stability and expand our capacity to be present with ourselves and our lives under all circumstances.
Retreat fee: $361 ($306/Member)
Please note that the retreat fee does not include accommodations. Retreats begin late afternoon on the indicated start date and end in the morning on the indicated end date. Visit the Rooms & Rates section and determine your preferred accommodations before making your reservations request online.
