For a few days, step away from the busyness and pressures of your life, and find the rhythm of your own breath. Come soak in the hot springs, cool off in the creek, meander along the trails, float in the swimming pool, savor Tassajara’s renowned vegetarian cuisine, or participate in a retreat, a wonderful opportunity to explore the variety of ways that Zen and other complementary practices can inform and enrich your life.
From the beginning of May through mid-September, Tassajara opens its gates to guests for the Summer Guest Season, turning to the work of serving the community at large and sharing the experience of Zen practice and the joys of Tassajara. Guest speakers and residents offer public talks and small group discussions about Buddhism several times each week, and summer guests are invited to join the Tassajara community for meditation and chanting every morning and evening.
