Volunteer Program at Green Gulch

The Volunteer Sangha Program enables the wider community to participate on a weekly, monthly, or occasional basis in Green Gulch Farm life. Each Sunday, volunteers help with the morning program. Volunteers are also welcome to join our weekday morning work practice and stay for lunch.

General volunteer info: Please fill in the Volunteer Form if you would like to volunteer at Green Gulch. If you have any questions, please contact the volunteer coordinator at 415.891.9361 or ggfvolunteers@sfzc.org. Thank you.

Garden: Monday mornings, 9 am - noon (until April, with a return to Tuesdays, as normal).

Farm: Tuesday mornings, 9 am - noon. Please call ahead to volunteer on the farm. You may be able to arrange to come on a different day.

The Watershed: On the second Sunday of each month, we have a Watershed Work Party, 1 - 4 pm. Please join us for lunch beforehand at 12:15 pm.

Kitchen: Every day, 9 am - noon. Muffin-making is Sunday morning from 6 - 8:30 am.

Maintenance: Monday - Friday, 9 am - noon.

Sunday Program: Help with various aspects of our public Sunday Program from 8:50 am to early afternoon. Different volunteer opportunities happen at different times during the morning and through lunchtime.

Docent Training Program—Volunteer with Kids in the Green Gulch Garden and Farm: Come join our team of environmental educators and learn to guide small groups of school children through the garden and farm at Green Gulch.
