Wild Heart Writing: Letting Spring Flowers Bloom, GGF 3/30 – 4/1
With Cynthia Cummins and Laurie Senauke
in the Wheelwright Center
Friday, March 30, 6 pm – Sunday, April 1, noon
Join us for a time of mindfulness and wild-heart writing, where ideas come to life and stories tell themselves.
Authentic, compelling writing comes from a place of emptiness and mindfulness. By showing up, listening, and writing what arises, we discover in real time what needs to be said. Free your creativity and share your stories in an inspiring, supportive setting.
We calm the mind, then follow surprising and playful prompts to start our pens flowing. In timed exercises, we bypass our inner critics; words appear, memories surface, comedies and dramas unfold.
No experience required! Just a willingness to be quiet and play. Bring a pen and paper, since laptop use is not suited to this modality (we’ll have extras on hand as well). This practice can serve as a form of meditation or as a way to discover the writer within, jumpstart any writing project, or add new tools to your writer’s belt.
Fees: $185; $166 current SFZC members; $148 limited income. Some partial scholarships available.
