For September 16: Story-telling in Buddhist Practice and Recovery
Tom B and Diane G Facilitating

The stories we tell about ourselves and our world become the building blocks of our experience and our reality. Using David Loy’s book The World Is Made of Stories, we will look at the role story-telling has in our Buddhist Practice and our Recovery. We will ask the question, “Can changing your story change your life?”

This daylong respite from the busyness of our lives and the city is appropriate for both newcomers (to recovery and/or to Buddhism) and seasoned practitioners. Please dress in loose, comfortable clothing. The weather at Green Gulch may be cooler and/or wetter than in the city, so please be prepared with extra layers.

Please bring a bag lunch.

Fee: $70; $63 current SFZC members; $56 limited income. Some partial scholarships available.
