Apprenticeship Programs

Bryan Clark

I moved to Green Gulch Farm in 2003 and migrated to Tassajara Zen Mountain Center in 2006 where over a period of 3 years I worked on the kitchen crew, served as fukuten (crew manager) and tenzo (head of the kitchen). My time there inspired me to ordain as a priest with Tenshin Reb Anderson so, in 2008, I returned to Green Gulch, where I spent an additional two years as fukuten here. Five years later, I left to try my fortunes in Hollywood where I obtained two professional cooking jobs, both of which I was fired from. I'm back at Green Gulch and am excited to offer my unique brand of failure to any apprentices who would like to join me.
