Laura Burges Women all over the world and throughout time have gathered to encourage and empower one another. In this daylong retreat, we will have opportunities for sitting and walking meditation, a dharma talk and discussion, lunch in the dining room, and a 12-step meeting.
Slip on shoes and comfortable clothing are recommended.
Fees: $55; $50 current SFZC members; $45 limited income. Lunch in the Green Gulch dining room is included.

Laura Burges
Laura Burges is a lay entrusted teacher in the Soto Zen tradition. A teacher of children for 27 years, her work has been featured in the PBS special The Digital Divide and in the book Teach Our Children Well. She is active in bringing mindfulness practices into elementary classrooms. Laura co-founded the Sangha in Recovery program at the San Francisco Zen Center and lectures and leads retreats at different practice centers in Northern California.
