Sewing Buddha’s Robe
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 – 8:30 pm
Sewing Room, 300 Page Street
The sewing room at City Center has been relocated to a space in the main building of City Center at 300 Page Street. You can contact the front office at 415.863.3136 to inquire about the location.
This class is to assist those who have received permission from their teacher to sew a rakusu or okesa in preparation for receiving precepts and a robe in Jukai or Shukke Tokudo. People who have already sewn a rakusu or okesa and are interested in learning to assist as sewing teachers are welcome to come and help.
Contact information for sewing: Stephanie Blank – firstname.lastname@example.org at Green Gulch Farm or Tim Wicks – email@example.com at City Center. These email accounts are not checked frequently, but we will respond as soon as possible.
Rakusu Sewing Instructions are available on the web site under Teachings.
A donation of $50 to $250 is suggested for sewing materials and instruction, with an additional donation for the ceremony.
