Denkei Raul Moncayo

Denkei Raul Moncayo was born and raised in Chile as a Chilean-American citizen. He has engaged in continuous and intensive practice since 1978 under Sojun Roshi at the Berkeley Zen Center, where he is a practice leader. Lay ordained in 1985; head student during the 1992 practice period; priest ordination in 1999; and Dharma Transmission in 2010. In the past he has led a practice period in Chile as well as programs on Zen and Judaism within the Bay Area Jewish Community and the Jewish renewal movement. He currently leads a meditation group for clients in a public clinic context in the Mission District of San Francisco as well as a Dharma group for students undergoing mental health and psychoanalytic training. Denkei is a psychologist and a supervising psychoanalyst.

Denkei recibio la transmision del dharma en el 2010. Denkei es psicologo-psicoanalista y dirige un grupo de meditacion en la clinica de salud mental de la Mision en San Francisco.
