Meditation is a combination of shamatha (calm abiding) and vipassna (insight). Shamatha practice helps tune our bodies and minds to aspects of ease, joy and abiding in the moment.
Let's explore guided relaxation exercises, stretching and periods of gentle meditation. Although we will focus on Shamatha practice, we will also discuss the various programs San Francisco Zen Center offers and how these meditative skills and training can be made available to us at work and home.

Lunch: We welcome you to bring your vegetarian lunch into our dining room or eat in our courtyards during the lunch break.
