Understanding the Uniqueness of Women’s Physical, Physiological and Emotional Health

In this workshop we’ll explore the journey in a woman’s life through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As we grow up, mature and age, women go through a lot of unique stages in life and many of us have to deal with health issues such as menstruation, pregnancy, menopause and the emotional challenges around them. How do we take care of ourselves and transition gracefully through these physical, physiological and emotional changes? In this workshop we’ll draw wisdom from classics such as “The Yellow Emperor’s Classic on Internal Medicine,” learn some of the most common herbs for women’s health maintenance, and practice self care techniques to relax and strengthen the body. Herbal teas will be served during the workshop for nourishment and fun.

Retreat fee: $40; $36 SFZC members; $32 limited income
