An Appropriate Response

with Eijun Linda Cutts
June 29-July 3
four-day retreat

The practice and teachings of compassion are expressed in many ways. How might we fully see our way and manifest an appropriate response? Compassionate energy is not outside of ourselves but is in each of us. How do we call it forth and meet true compassionate action? We will study and explore compassion through the Zen practices of sitting and walking meditation, chanting, ceremony, silence, and dharma talks and discussion, as well as studying our own stories. Since this retreat takes place during the darkening moon, we will have a chance to appreciate the brilliant starry sky. The schedule will also include an opportunity to meet individually with the teacher and ample time to enjoy Tassajara.
